Hello world and welcome to my blog!!!
Hi there! My name is Basana and I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and currently live in Atlanta, Georgia. Most people who know me know that I have a long-standing passion for travel. However, what many may not know is that passion was sparked when I was 12 years old and my grandmother took me on a 3-week excursion to Alaska and Japan. Since that adventure, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting 35 American states and 23 Countries around the world. And every day I’m thinking about where I will venture to next.
While I would love to travel full time, work does tend to get in the way. I have a degree in Architecture and a full-time career in the construction industry that has led to construction and home improvement being my other passion in life.
Sawdust and Wanderlust is a blog dedicated to exploring and sharing both of my passions with the world.
I’m so excited to launch this blog, but please be patient and bear with me as it develops. It’s not yet perfect, but I didn’t want to wait for perfection to go live. So here it is… blemishes and all! The process of building a blog has taken me far outside of my comfort zone and has been a massive learning experience for me (complete with great successes and epic failures). One day it will look and function exactly as I envision, but in the meantime please take a look around and enjoy!
